Velvet Roses and a Candle to Match

Velvet Roses and a Candle to Match

True to Life Rose Candle

This is what leads to the common complaint of floral focused candles smelling like grandma's perfume. This is the problem I wanted to tackle in creating the Velvet Rose Candle. The painted bouquet that adorns the glass candle shows layers of flowers and greenery so let me breakdown those layers and how this candle strives to depict them in the fragrance notes.

Top Notes: Green Leaves, Cedar Stems

The candle opens with greenery notes that emphasize the natural, life like scent. This keeps the candle balanced and fresh and disallows the florals to overpower you.

Middle Notes: Rose

The middle of the candle is the heart and what gives candles their identity and that's why we kept it simple and soft with the Rose note in the middle.

Bottom Notes: Vanilla Oak, Pink & White Petals

These base notes are what give the velvety smooth finish and where the unique name, Velvet Rose, comes from. The combination of warm wood and sweet notes illustrate and add texture to what you can smell.
